Having worked in adult education since graduating at Exeter College of Art in 1976 I have attempted on several occasions to make a living as a painter but life always got in the way.

Now, in my sixties, I find I have the luxury of being able to paint for myself.

I work mainly in oils on a variety of surfaces from canvas and plywood to cardboard. All works are from life.

 

Some paintings have been reworked over years, put away then returned to, while others are completed within a few days.
